Support

We are committed to helping you fulfil your family dreams and have a baby. A big part of that is being there with you through all of the physical, mental and emotional aspects of fertility treatment. We approach everything with compassion and genuine care, hoping for the best outcome for you and your family.

Fertility Support Options Melbourne

Working with you

Trying for a baby can be difficult, emotional, and take a long time. It’s hard not to let the anxieties get to you, which is why we offer a range of professional care options and recommendations, provided as part of your treatment to look after your overall health. We understand that it might be impossible to avoid some feelings of stress, particularly during cycles of fertility treatment, but we’re here to work with you through those feelings.

Interpreter services

If you require an interpreter at any stage during your treatment — including medical consultations, counselling sessions, consent forms and treatment — please advise any of our team and we will assist with organising a health care interpreter. Interpreters are trained bilingual staff and may include on-staff interpreters, contract interpreters, telephone interpreters, and trained volunteers.

The following people should not serve as health care interpreters: family and friends; children under 18 years old; other patients or visitors; and untrained volunteers.

Our support options

Everyone needs comfort and help on their fertility journey. We hope that our knowledge and compassion can make the process more positive. You can lean on us in any way you need, and we’ll be with you through the ups and downs. Many people also find peer support a helpful and encouraging part of their fertility journey or after experiencing a loss — we recommend the Pink Elephants Support Network for those in need.

Psychological Support

The feelings associated with trying for a baby and going through treatment can be profound, and difficult to deal with alone. We offer psychological counselling from an expert team, right from your initial appointment to the time you meet your baby. Your mental health is as much a part of the fertility journey as anything else.

Complementary Therapies

Alternative therapies can help to bolster overall health, relieve stress and improve your wellbeing. These therapies may not directly tie in to your chances of becoming pregnant, but they can significantly boost your personal welfare, making the fertility process easier to go through. Explore complementary therapy options.

Patient Resources

It’s almost impossible to keep track of all the information that relates to pregnancy and fertility. Our resources page puts all of the key information together for you to check out whenever you need, or to learn more about fertility in general. Get in contact with us if you have any questions or need some assistance.

Your rights to healthcare

The Australian Charter of Healthcare Rights allows patients, consumers, families, carers and service providers to have a common understanding of the rights of people receiving health care.
