Having private health insurance isn’t required for treatments at Create Fertility, however it can help contribute to reducing your treatment costs, and provide assistance with additional fees like hospital surgery fees which aren’t covered by Medicare.
Understanding your Private Health cover is the first step in knowing what additional rebates you may be eligible for. The amount and specific coverage will depend on your level of cover with your Health Fund. We recommend speaking directly to your health fund to understand the details of your policy, including fertility treatment eligibility, rebates and waiting periods.
If you don’t have private health insurance, but are considering getting it for your fertility treatments, we advise contacting the health funds directly for advice and information as some funds may not cover certain treatments or waiting periods may apply.

Anyone can struggle with fertility issues, but it doesn’t have to mean that you won’t be able to fulfil your dreams of creating a family. Our fertility team works to understand the underlying cause of your fertility challenges and discusses this with you in a way you’ll understand. We then work together to develop a personalised treatment plan that works for you.
