Fertility IVF Specialist, Gynaecologist and Obstetrician

Serag obtained his medical degree from Cairo university with Honours and completed his obstetrics and Gynaecology training in England.

Background and Education

Serag completed a course on Assisted Human Reproduction at Bourn Hall clinic, Cambridgeshire, England in 1990, where the first IVF baby Louise Brown was conceived.

IVF Training and Experience

Serag completed his fertility training in Melbourne. Serag completed a Masters in reproductive medicine at the university of NSW with distinction.

Areas of Fertility Treatment

Serag has treated fertility issues such as PCOS, ovulation induction, recurrent miscarriage, unexplained infertility, male factor infertility for 32 years.

Serag consults at our Mount Waverley fertility clinic, with regular visits to our clinics in Berwick and East Melbourne as well.

Fertility Surgery

Serag performs surgeries for endometriosis, adhesions, uterine septum and ovarian cyst to maximise fertility. Serag published studies on vaginal hysterectomy, abdominal hysterectomy, vaginal vault prolapse repair with sacro-spinous colpopexy, outpatient endometrial biopsy.

Gynaecological Surgery Expertise

Serag has extensive experience in gynaecological surgery for urinary incontinence, pelvic floor reconstruction, repair of vaginal and uterine prolapse. Serag has removed many very fibroids and reconstructed uterus to improve fertility and reduce vaginal bleed.

Hospital Appointments

Serag has had public appointment at Eastern health for the last 25 years and operates at Box Hill, Epworth, St Vincents, Frances Perry, NorthPark and John Fawkner Hospitals. 

Serag does his best to maximise health and fertility of couples to achieve pregnancy.
